A Note on Systems
Ever think about how different it feels to play the same game on a different system? That sensation of button pushing sequences differing between systems; even though the movements are practiced and memorized, on a different system - they respond differently. I pondered this today as I played Mario Kart DS on my 3DS XL - the game feels different on the XL vs. the DSi (or the DS phat on which I originally played Mario Kart DS). The D-pad was larger so movements in between motions were slower or the analog stick was precise but seemed flimsy. The portly bodied DS Phat was easier to hold for me than either the 3DS XL or the DSi, so it feels weird to play the same movements on a differently sized system.
